Van Gogh

Van Gogh at THE LUME Melbourne is an extraordinary immersive exhibition running until 1 June 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Wharf. Transforming over 3,000 square metres into a living, breathing gallery, this experience reimagines the masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh through stunning 360-degree digital projections, towering four-storey-high walls, and an emotive musical soundtrack. Visitors can walk through iconic works like Starry Night and Sunflowers, fully surrounded by Van Gogh’s bold colours and expressive brushstrokes.

A standout feature of the exhibition is Finding Vincent VR, a world-first virtual reality experience. In this interactive 25-minute journey, visitors join Theo van Gogh in a heartfelt search for his brother Vincent through the vibrant streets of 19th-century Montmartre and the serene landscapes of Provence, encountering key moments that shaped the artist’s extraordinary life.

The exhibition also brings back the popular Sunflower Room, an enchanting space filled with vibrant projections of Van Gogh’s famous sunflower paintings, creating the perfect atmosphere for visitors to pause and take in the beauty—or capture a few memorable photos.

For those wanting an enhanced experience, the Vincent Package includes general gallery access, the Finding Vincent VR journey, and a keepsake program. Ticket prices start from $29.90, with free entry for children under four. The LUME is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with extended hours until 8:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

Blending art, technology, and storytelling, Van Gogh at THE LUME offers a truly unforgettable way to experience one of history’s most beloved artists. For tickets and more information, visit THE LUME Melbourne’s official website.
