The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne are internationally renowned and located near the centre of Melbourne, on the south bank of the Yarra River.
There are 38 hectares (94 acres) of landscaped gardens consisting of a mix of over 10,000 individual species of native and exotic vegetation with a large ornamental lake, visitors centre, gift shop and cafés.
