Victoria University was founded in 1916 as Footscray Technical School. After successive mergers with TAFE colleges across Melbourne’s western suburbs, it was finally renamed Victoria University in 2005.
Today, it is one of Australia’s most culturally diverse education institutions. VU offers both TAFE and higher education courses in a diverse range of subjects including Arts, Business, Computers & IT, Education, Engineering & Science, Health & Biomedicine, Law & Justice and Sports & Exercise.
It has three campuses in the Melbourne CBD.
